Hurtigruten MS Nordkapp leaves Trondheim – and meets MS Vesterålen ????✨

In this short film of about 5 minutes, I stop at the Hurtigruten quay in Trondheim, in the middle of the summer heat, and get to experience something very special ????✨

While I'm standing and filming, the Hurtigruten MS Nordkapp is docked – one of the iconic ships that has transported passengers and goods along the Norwegian coast for generations. Hurtigruten has been a lifeline for coastal communities since 1893, and today you can travel along the coast with both Hurtigruten and Havila Kystruten, both of which offer unique trips between Bergen and Kirkenes ????????????

I chat a little in front of the camera while the MS Nordkapp gets ready to depart. It's a great sight when the ship leaves the quay and heads further north. One day I hope to take a trip on such a ship myself – but that's for later. For now, I'll just enjoy the view and share the moment with you ????

As I cycle further towards Trondheim city centre, something unexpected happens: I hear honking out on the fjord! It turns out that MS Nordkapp meets MS Vesterålen, and the ships whistle to each other as a greeting. How lucky I was to get this on film – moments like this don't happen every day! ????????????

After this, I cycle further towards the city centre and continue my day in beautiful Trondheim.
