Do you have a broken electronic parking brake in your Range Rover Sport L320 2005 - 2013? Driving along recently my Range Rover wobbled making me think I had a puncture. Checked all four tyres and there was no puncture, but there was a very strong burning smell from the wheel hub and brake area at the rear of the car like something was on fire, turns out this is the electronic parking brake failing and binding onto the hub whilst the vehicle is driving along. The friction causes the burning smell and often some smoke as it’s going through the material.

This is a common fault on the Ranger Rover Sport apparently, and it’s difficult to check if your parking brake is working when viewing a car to buy. Technically you don’t need the e-brake as you park the Range Rover in P using the auto-box which then locks the transmission, but really you do still want it working just because, well it’s meant to work!

If this video has helped you figure out what the problem is with your Range Rover Sport, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe on my road to 1000 subscribers!
