Don't miss Pulpit Rock, local beers, old town, the white clapboard houses, or the street art of Stavanger. This old city is also a modern hub and is the onshore center for the Petroleum industry in Norway. We took an electric boat from the port through the archipelago off the coast, to the Lysefjord where we saw waterfalls, caves, mountain goats and Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock. The only other way to get to Pulpit Rock is to climb it which is a 5 mile climb that can take about 2 hours up and 2 hours back. We made a stop at Lervig Local where we got a tour of the onsite brewery and tasted some of their best beers.
