Arthur Mahler and Solveig Mahler loved to ski. They met on a blind dated skiing at Steven's Pass. Art learned to ski in Vienna Austria and Solveig in Stavanger Norway. Soon after they met they got married soon after. They taught their three boys , Peter, Eric and Steve the love of skiing using wood skis, lace up leather boots and bamboo pole wearing mostly wool sweaters and wool mittens! This silent film features skiing dating back from 1961-1976. All shots were filmed using using Art's 8mm home windup film movie camera - before GoPro cameras! Historical locations include: Washington State ski areas Steven's Pass, Ski Acres (Summit Central), Snoqualmie (Summit West) and Big Mountain Montana.
