Scene Seventeen | The Winter Road to Nordkapp — Road Whispers was recorded during a winter journey towards Nordkapp, Norway. For almost two hours, I drove north through a landscape covered in snow, while the road I had just travelled stretched away behind me.

This time, the journey is seen looking back. The road appears beneath the car and slowly disappears into the distance. Mountains, small settlements and long empty stretches pass through the frame before becoming part of the horizon. There was something strangely compelling about watching the journey this way, always moving forward, while seeing only what I was leaving behind. Nordkapp remained somewhere ahead, unseen.

Near the end of the drive, I began to slow down. A barrier lowered across the road, bringing the journey to an unexpected stop. After almost two hours heading north, there was nowhere farther to go. For now, Nordkapp would have to wait.
