Today we’re visiting Spor 1 Team Norway during the fantastic Children’s Ironworks Sunday at Næs Ironworks Museum in southern Norway.
This incredible 1:32 Scale 1 railway layout is a true masterpiece, featuring more than 375 metres (1,230 ft) of track spread across an impressive 460 m² (4,950 sq ft). Watch beautifully detailed steam, diesel and electric locomotives travel through stunning miniature landscapes inspired by the famous Arendal Line and Rjukan Line, complete with stations, bridges, industries, locomotive sheds and authentic Norwegian scenery.
Built over decades by legendary model railway builder Styrkar Braathen and maintained by the passionate members of @spor1teamnorway179 Spor 1 Team Norway, this is one of Europe’s most impressive large-scale model railways. During today’s family event, visitors had the unique opportunity to experience the layout in action while learning about the craftsmanship, engineering and history behind this amazing hobby.
