After being flagged off by the Indian Ambassador to Norway in Oslo, we left the city heading northwest and rode through Norway's stunning countryside. We stopped for lunch in the small town of Gol before continuing to the remarkable Borgund Stave Church, one of the country's best-preserved medieval wooden churches.
Next came the Lærdal Tunnel, the world's longest road tunnel at 24.5 km, a journey that took us around 20 minutes to complete. Emerging back into daylight, we rode past the crystal-clear waters of Lake Vassbygdevatnet before tackling the incredible Hagatunnelen, an engineering marvel whose dramatic curves almost corkscrew over themselves. We ended the day by checking into a lovely lakeside hotel overlooking the tranquil waters of Aurdalsvatnet.
