Hi everyone, and THANK YOU for watching this channel. Here I wrote a detailed description of the Ryfast tunnel in Norway!
watch till the end because is amazing and I didn't put any music in background it's totally original from my trip. Enjoying and, to the next one. Ciao ????????

The Ryfast tunnel is a subsea road tunnel located in southwestern Norway, connecting the city of Stavanger to the municipality of Strand. The tunnel consists of two separate tunnels, the Ryfylke tunnel and the Hundvåg tunnel, which are connected by an underground roundabout.

The Ryfylke tunnel is the longest of the two tunnels, with a length of approximately 14.3 kilometers (8.9 miles). It runs from the village of Tau in Strand municipality, under the Høgsfjorden, and ends at the village of Solbakk in the municipality of Strand. The tunnel has two lanes in each direction and a maximum speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour (50 miles per hour).

The Hundvåg tunnel is shorter, with a length of approximately 5.8 kilometers (3.6 miles). It runs from the island of Hundvåg, located just outside of Stavanger, and connects to the existing E39 road network. The tunnel has two lanes in each direction and a maximum speed limit of 60 kilometers per hour (37 miles per hour).

The construction of the Ryfast tunnel began in 2013 and was completed in 2019. It is the longest subsea road tunnel in the world and one of the most complex tunnel projects ever undertaken in Norway. The tunnel was built to alleviate traffic congestion in the Stavanger region and improve connectivity between the city and surrounding areas.

The Ryfast tunnel project was divided into several phases, including the construction of access roads, the excavation of the tunnels, and the installation of ventilation and safety systems. The tunnels were excavated using a combination of drilling and blasting, as well as tunnel boring machines.

The construction of the Ryfast tunnel was a major engineering feat, requiring innovative solutions to overcome the challenging geological conditions and environmental concerns. The tunnel was designed to minimize its impact on the surrounding environment, with measures taken to reduce noise and light pollution and protect local wildlife.

Overall, the Ryfast tunnel is a remarkable feat of engineering and a testament to the ingenuity and technical expertise of Norwegian engineers and construction workers. It has significantly improved transportation in the Stavanger region and is an important landmark in Norway's infrastructure development.
