FLOATING CITY - art short, 2 min - cruise traffic, pollution and mass tourism in Stavanger

Floating City, is an experimental artistic short film that flashes the audience with impressions from the huge cruise ships that regularly occupy Old Stavanger harbour. A contemporary satirical short film with a strong political message.

The goal was to create art on a hot local political topic; Cruise traffic, pollution and mass tourism, which for many, especially in Old Stavanger, Norway, can be experienced as dramatic, intrusive and shocking.

Floating City was selected to participate at the Bergen International Film Festival (BIFF) in the summer of 2019, followed by a screening at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund (2020), Whitespace - Atlanta's largest gallery for contemporary art, Amandus Lillehammer International Student Film Festival, NUFF - Nordic Young Film Festival and several other film festivals / galleries in Germany
