EuroVelo 1's Southern most point: Valença, Portugal

If you have been following my journey on the EuroVelo 1 route (EV1), I started in the southern most point of the route (as of Feb 2026) and I am slowly making my way to the south of Portugal. The plan is to ride the entire southern Europe portion of the EV1, including Spain and France.
The nothern most point of this route is in the North Cape in Norway, which also happens to be Europe's most nothern point.
If you rode from the North Cape in Norway all the way down to Valença, very well done to you. That is a life-time cycling achievement that not many can say they did.
If you plan to ride this route in this direction, this video will show you the few hundred meters before you get to the end of the journey (as of Feb 2026).
