A film about the DFDS Seaways ferry Princess Seaways in service on the route IJmuiden - Newcastle.

In this film we are on a mini cruise with the Princess Seaways from IJmuiden to Newcastle in October 2019.

The Princess Seaways was built in 1986 as Peter Pan for the TT-Line shipping company for the Travemünde - Trelleborg route.

On 2 June 1986, the Peter Pan made its maiden voyage from Travemünde to Trelleborg.
Seven years later, on 31 August 1993, the ship made its last voyage between Trelleborg and Travemünde.

In September 1993 the Peter Pan was handed over to the shipping company Transport of Tasmania and renamed Spirit of Tasmania.
From November 1993 to September 2002 the Spirit of Tasmania was in service on the Devonport - Melbourne route.

In November 2002 the ship was sold to the shipping company Fjord Line and renamed Fjord Norway. The Fjord Norway was operated from April 2003 on the route Bergen - Haugesund - Egersund - Hanstholm and from November 2005 on the route Bergen - Stavanger - Newcastle.

In September 2006 the Fjord Norway was sold to the shipping company DFDS and renamed Princess of Norway.
The Princess of Norway continued to operate on the route Bergen - Stavanger - Newcastle until May 2007.

Since May 2007 the ship is in service on the route Newcastle - Ijmuiden. In February 2011 the ship was renamed Princess Seaways.
