Right everyone it's time for yet another video and in this one i am bringing a special ship to the channel. KMS Scharnhorst. Scharnhorst was a German capital ship, alternatively described as a battleship or battlecruiser, of Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. She was the lead ship of her class, which included her sister ship Gneisenau. The ship was built at the Kriegsmarinewerft dockyard in Wilhelmshaven; she was laid down on 15 June 1935 and launched a year and four months later on 3 October 1936. Completed in January 1939.
Seeing extensive service through world war 2 being responsible for the sinking of HMS Glorious early on in the war and raiding the Atlantic with her sister. She and Gneisenau conducted operation Cerberus a bold channel dash through the English Channel and succeeded. After repairs she took part in operation Berlin and finally was posted in Norway. Being one of the only operational battleships Scharnhorst was sent to attack a convoy when pressure from Hitler forced the Kriegsmarine to prove the worth of the surface fleet which lead to her sinking at North Cape.

Lyrics:
Opening:
The sea roars dark and cold tonight,
Steel and fire cut the waves in flight,
A shadow born of Wilhelmhaven's might,
Scharnhorst sails into the storm of light.
Verse 1:
From the dockyards she rose in steel and flame,
Nine guns thundering with a captain's name.
Through frozen north, the Atlantic dread,
She stalked the convoys, left the fearless dead.
With Gneisenau, her sister sworn to fight,
A wraith of vengeance in the foggy night.
Rawalpindi felt her deadly call,
One salvo shattered, she watched her fall.
Verse 2:
Weserübung brought the icy Norwegian shore,
Renown and Glorious felt her wrath and more.
Through hail of shells, her forward turrets blaze,
Longest shots in history set the decks ablaze.
Her bow rose high, Atlantic waves she’d break,
Every battle fought, a legend she’d make.
The Channel Dash, a daring ghostly ride,
The English Channel could not stem her tide.
Pre-Chorus:
Oh, iron queen of the northern seas,
With fire and fury, none can bring you to your knees.
Steel and spirit, twin blades of the past,
Your vengeance echoes, forever to last.
Chorus:
Scharnhorst, blaze through the storm,
Carry the spirit of the Kriegsmarines form.
Thunder and fury, fire and smoke,
Strike at the Empire, hear the world choke.
Raise your guns to the shivering sky,
Fight like a legend, never to die.
Verse 3:
Operation Berlin, the Atlantic called,
Through storms and hunters, unbroken she brawled.
Gneisenau at her side, a sister’s shadow cast,
Together they hunted, strikes fierce and fast.
Through bombs and mines, she danced with fate,
Even as air raids sought to seal her gate.
Her guns roared, torpedoes burned below,
Scharnhorst’s wrath set the seas aglow.
Verse 4:
Then came the Arctic’s icy crown,
Convoys to the Soviets drew her down.
At North Cape, the Duke of York did wait,
But Scharnhorst met them with relentless hate.
Salvos tore the freezing air asunder,
Each hit a heartbeat, a furious thunder.
Even as her engines slowed to crawl,
She fought with a spirit that could never fall.
Pre-Chorus:
Oh, iron queen of the northern seas,
With fire and fury, none can bring you to your knees.
Steel and spirit, twin blades of the past,
Your vengeance echoes, forever to last.
Chorus:
Scharnhorst, blaze through the storm,
Carry the spirit of the Kriegsmarines form.
Thunder and fury, fire and smoke,
Strike at the Empire, hear the world choke.
Raise your guns to the shivering sky,
Fight like a legend, never to die.
Outro:
The cold waters claimed her steel-clad form,
Propellers turning in the final storm.
Voices fade, but the spirit remains,
Scharnhorst sails forever through history’s veins.
A blaze of fury, a shadow on the waves,
The ghost of a battleship, the pride of brave.
She rests in the deep, yet still she fights,
Scharnhorst, eternal, ruler of northern nights.
